The Gardens are Craig’s domain. A labour of love since 2001. From very humble beginnings, the gardens have grown from a small patch to over four acres of loveliness.
With gardens within gardens, they stretch from the formal to the wild, from the eclectic to the down right eccentric. The gardens attract many visitors under the National Garden Scheme, with hundreds of visitors each year. 2020 and 2021 were tricky years (mild understatement) but Woodlands Farm was the featured garden on the NGS’s opening of its virtual gardens at Easter 2020, with over 20,000 views online. Over both summers the gardens opened weekly to guests who booked tickets online. In 2022 we raised over £6,000 for amazing charities. Sadly we are closed during 2023 but will reopen in 2024.
There is so much to see, whether you are an enthusiastic gardener or you simply enjoy wandering around gardens. With sculptures, ponds, a viewing platform, a parterre garden, man-made mounds, a cherry blossom orchard, a huge veggie garden, an Acer walk, a rose garden, a glass house, a garden room, a cutting garden and so much more.
We love to share the gardens and make them available to all guests who choose to stay in our glamping pods at Woodlands Farm.
